ProStream 1000 with ACE leaps over competing stream-processing platforms by enabling the cost-effective deployment of next-generation SD and HD broadcast and OTT multiscreen services from a single, highly scalable, 1-RU device. It can simultaneously transcode video content for both broadcast and OTT mobile and web applications while providing unmatched video quality. The Harmonic ProMedia Capture video ingest engine acquires live and taped SD and HD video in real time and encodes it directly into the most-common production and playout formats. Fast and reliable, it provides enormous time savings for the production and delivery of content for diverse applications such as video mastering, content repurposing, archiving and video on demand (VOD). ProMedia Capture supports an extensive array of acquisition, editing, broadcast, web and mobile codecs and wrappers, assuring that baseband content is efficiently ingested and immediately made available for program preparation. The ability to ingest directly into shared storage systems such as Harmonic® MediaGrid allows immediate editing, transcoding and quality control of content the instant it is acquired.
Powered by Harmonic’s Rhozet technology, ProMedia Carbon is a file-based transcoding solution that facilitates the conversion of media to a massive array of acquisition, editing, broadcast, web and mobile formats. ProMedia Live simplifies processing by efficiently handling metadata information (language, captions, ad signaling/insertion) on input and output.
