PBN CPON-HFC
The Light Link Direct PBN CPON-HFC Customer Premises Optical Node for HFC Applications offers full bandwidth cable television delivery to the home plus high-speed data access for an associated DOCSIS cable mode over single mode fiber. Fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) is a reality today. The PBN CPON-HFC is designed as an economic optical network termination unit for passive optical networks, providing full duplex RF connectivity.
PBN EDFAM
The PBN EDFAM Light Link® Series 3 (Erbium Doped Fibre Amplifier Module) has been designed for MATV, CATV, FTTH and CCTV broadband applications. the PBN EDFAM module forms part of the light link Series 3 family of products. This module utilizes plub-and-play technology to provide a complete broadband and optical communications solution.
PBN EPON-ONU
The PBN EPON-ONU is the complete customer premises, Light Link® Direct, Fibre to the Home (FTTH) solution which delivers point to multipoint (P2MP) broadband access for “Triple Play” communication services to the home or business. CATV, Fast Ethernet and VoIP telephony are all supported in one easy to manage, highly sophisticated package that functions over only one single mode optical fibre.
PBN GEOLT
The PBN GEOLT is the new and advanced Light Link® Series 2 Gigabit Ethernet Optical Line Terminal (GEOLT). Designed for IEEE802.3ah compliant GEPON the GEOLT is part of PBN’s high density FTTx product range. The GEOLT and the matching ONU subscriber units enable the deployment of complete, cost effective, low maintenance, next generation GEPON systems for business and residential networks, with sophisticated Service Level Agreement (SLA). Designed to operate in a shared fibre environment catering for up to a total of 512 subscribers, the GEOLT supports full-duplex, bi-directional transmission over up to 20 km on one single mode fibre core. Delivering both Gigabit Ethernet and CATV services, the GEOLT includes Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation (DBA) and QoS enforcement for multi-service applications that deliver “Triple Play” communication services. Microprocessor based status monitoring and control is available for operation from the local OCM keypad or remotely via the network, using the PBN NMS3 network management software.
PBN OCMR
The PBN OCMR (Optical Communications Mainframe
Chassis Generation II) with redundant power supply capability is the second
generation Optical Communications Mainframe Chassis which
forms the backbone of the Light Link Series 3 product range.
The PBN OCMR chassis is fully backward compatible with PBN’s complete
range of optical, RF, and data modules to suit CATV,
Ethernet, FTTC, FTTH, HFC and telecommunication applications.
PBN ODN-RFOG
The PBN ODN-RFOG Light Link® Series 2 Optical Distribution Node for Radio Frequency over Glass (RFoG) is a prime building block for delivery of cable television with DOCSIS based high speed Internet services over PON compliant Fiber to the Home (FTTH) cable plant. The ODN-RFoG is well suited to expand existing DOCSIS/HFC networks with some FTTH segments in new or renovated areas, without need to deploy alternate provisioning and billing systems. The ODN-RFoG includes a four port Erbium Doped Fibre Amplifier (EDFA) for the forward path. This provides capacity for up to 32 or 64 CATV/DOCSIS customers per port, totalling up to 128 or 256 customers per node.
PBN OSLAM-8
The PBN OSLAM-8
(Optical Subscriber Line Access Modulator) Light Link Series 3, module is designed to deliver full bandwidth cable television together with a 100 Mbps fast Ethernet over one bi-directional single mode fiber core per node. Each OSLAM module will serve up eight nodes. A node can be a CPON315 for a single family home, but it could also be an FPR-100W node for an apartment building or a fiber-to-the-curb pedestal for multiple subscribers. The advanced PBN OSLAM fiber optic access multiplexer provides the basic building block for highly scalable fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) and fiber-to-the-block (FTTB) applications.
PBN OSLAM-8G
The PBN OSLAM-8G (Optical Subscriber Line Access
Multiplexer 8-Port Module) is the latest in PON technology from PBN. The Light Link Series 3, Optical Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer (OSLAM-8G) module delivers full duplex 100 Mbps Fast Ethernet together with an optical CATV overlay all on one single mode optical fiber core per subscriber. The remote equipment can be a CPON 100 for a single family home or a FPR-100W for an apartment building.
PBN RPQRM
The PBN RPQRM (Return Path Quad Receiver Module) Light Link Series 3 return path quad receiver module (RPQRM) is designed to plug into PBN's optical communications mainframe system (OCM). The PBN RPQRM incorporates four independent optical return path receivers that operate at any wavelength between 1300 to 1610 nm. This unit also suits CWDM and DWDM applications.
PBN AMCP1315
The PBN AMCP1315 broadband optical receiver has been designed to receive and convert optical signals with wavelengths of either 1200 nm to 1600 nm to radio frequency (RF) signals of 45 MHz to 870 MHz. The plug-in return path laser modules and diplex filters provide an extremely versatile optical node capable of two-way optical communication. Suitable for CATV/MATV and CCTV applications, the PBN AMCP1315's compact size and superior optical and RF performance provides the ideal choice for indoor optical nodes.

PBN LT1310
The PBN LT1310 Light Link® Series 2 optical transmitters employ high performance thermally stabilized distributed feedback (DFB) lasers with integrated optical isolator. The unit transmits AM-VSB, CATV, CCTV, DVB-C and DVB-T signals together with DOCSIS over a 1310 nm single mode optical fiber. The PBN LT1310 optical transmitter incorporates a comprehensive alarm and status monitoring system of all laser operating parameters such as DC laser bias current, laser temperature, cooler current, optical output power, RF levels, and more.
PBN LT1550
The PBN LT1550 Light Link® Series 2 optical transmitter model LT1550 employs a high performance thermally stabilised, DFB, low-chirp, isolated laser to transmit CATV signals. Operating on a specific optical wavelength in the ITU-DWDM grid, the unit suits single mode optical fibre networks with or without dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM).
PBN LTM13
The PBN LTM13 Light Link® Series 3 (Optical Communications Mainframe
Laser Transmitter Module) Multi Quantum Well (MQW) Distributed Feedback
(DFB) laser transmitter module has been designed for cable
television and HFC broadband applications. The PBN LTM13
module easily fits into the OCM chassis with plug and play
technology to suit a variety of applications.
The laser transmitter module is available in optical power levels
from 2 dBm to 15 dBm. The unit offers superior frequency
response, distortion and noise characteristics. The PBN LTM13
incorporates specialized circuitry to deliver the best possible
CTB and CSO performance up to 862 MHz.
PBN LTM15
The PBN Light Link® Series 3 LTM15 optical transmitter module has been
designed to complement the OCM system with optical transmission
in the 1550 nm wavelength range. This transmitter employs high
performance, thermally stabilised DFB low-chirp isolated lasers to
transmit AM-VSB CATV or DVB-QAM signals on one ITU frequency
grid optical wavelength within the 1550 nm range. The PBN LTM15 suits
single mode optical fibers with or without dense wavelength division
multiplexing (DWDM).
PBN ODN2P
The PBN Light Link® Series 2 ODN2P (optical distribution node with two amplified RF ports) has been designed to deliver interactive CATV and high capacity DOCSIS service. The PBN ODPN2P is IP67 rated and suitable for outdoor and indoor applications. The PBN ODN2P deep fibre node solution suits the last-mile in broadband access networks. The small and rugged design makes this unit an ideal answer for fiber-to-the apartment and fiber-to-the-curb applications. The PBN ODN2P can also be equipped with return path transmitter modules for various optical wavelenths, making CWDM single Fiber operation a viable option.
PBN ODN4P
The PBN Light Link® Series ODN4P 2 deep fiber optical distribution Node is a prime building block for high performance networks, designed for adaptability, scalability and optional return path segmentation. The configuration options are well suited for Hybrid Fiber Coaxial (HFC) networks with smaller nodes and very high traffic handling capability for internet and telephony. This node employs advanced modular technology to provide a cost effectice and flexible solution for expanding network architectures. the optical distribution node may be configured with up to two optical receivers, two return path optical transmitters and two power supply units, hence providing network reduncdancy. The node incorporates four high RF outputs up to 870 MHz or 1000MHz. The PBN ODN4P utilizes the latest in fiber optic technology to emerge as the final active component in the fiber network. Designed to fiber-to-the-curb (FTTC) deployment. This node is also well suited for the last mile in fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) applications.
PBN RLM
The PBN RLM return path laser module is a plug-in transmitter designed to fit into the AMCP1315. The PBN RLM provides an economic solution for upstream transmission of DOCSIS return data or other two-way HFC applications. The plug-in module is used together with a diplexer inside AMCP1315 to suite a variety of frequency band-splits. This makes the AMCP1315 optical node a versatile unit for connecting multi-apartment buildings (MDU)
PBN RPQRM
