The unit provides audio and video outputs from any analog input channel in the 54 to 88 and 108 to 806 MHz frequency range. The AD-1 is ideal for signal monitoring and signal conditioning (audio/video processing and remodulation) applications. Agile channel selection permits on-the-fly channel changes.
Blonder Tongue AM-60-860 SAP
The Blonder Tongue AM-60-860 SAP Stereo/SAP Agile Modulator is an analog audio/video modulator equipped with a stereo primary audio and a SAP (Secondary Audio Program) input. An Emergency Alert System (EAS) or alternate IF (Intermediate Frequency) input is also provided. The modulator provides audio and video modulated RF carriers on any NTSC CATV, VHF or UHF channel in the frequency range from 54 to 860 MHz. The unit is compatible with any standard audio/video source such as satellite receivers, television cameras, video tape recorders, or television demodulators.
Blonder Tongue AP-60-860A
The Blonder Tongue AP-60-860A (Agile Digital/Analog Processor) operates in one of the three following modes: Mode 1: Analog Heterodyne Processor (Analog RF IN > Analog RF OUT) Mode 2: Digital Heterodyne Processor (QAM IN > QAM OUT) Mode 3: Digital-to-Analog Processor (8VSB or QAM IN > Analog RF OUT).
Blonder Tongue AQM
The Blonder Tongue AQM is designed to accept an MPEG- 2 ASI
(Asynchronous Serial Interface) digital transport stream and
modulate it into a QAM (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation)
signal. The Blonder Tongue QAM modulator in the AQM achieves stateofthe-
art performance with capabilities to improve
bandwidth efficiency by supporting advanced QAM modes
like 256, 512 & 1024 QAM.
Blonder Tongue AQP
The Blonder Tongue AQP (ATSC/QAM Processor) accepts one input in 8VSB (digital off-air) or QAM (digital cable) format, including the sub-band QAM input channels T7 to T13, and delivers one output in QAM format in the 54-864 MHz range.AQP can be utilized in a remote headend to “regenerate” a clean QAM channel from a degraded one. It also allows TV sets to receive digital off-air programming on CATV channel assignments by transmodulating the 8VSB broadcast to QAM.It can also be utilized in remote digital origination applications, where the QAM channel needs to be delivered to the headend via the sub-band frequencies.
Blonder Tongue AQT
The Blonder Tongue AQT Transcoder is a modular unit that receives either an 8VSB (Off-air Digital) or QAM (CATV Digital) signal, and
transcodes it to any CATV QAM channel. The transcoding enables televisions with QAM digital tuners to seamlessly view the 8VSB Off-air
digital signals on cable television frequency assignments without having to change the television tuner input from ‘CATV’ mode to ‘Off-Air’
mode. The input digital signal is stripped of it’s original digital modulation (8VSB or QAM), leaving just the basic data stream. The Blonder Tongue AQT then
creates a new, clean QAM carrier and reinserts the original data stream on to this new QAM carrier. If the original channel was encrypted, it
will remain encrypted, if the original channel was in the clear, it will remain in the clear. The only modification to the original data stream that
is performed is changing the data rate when converting an 8VSB signal to a QAM signal. This rate change is done via Null Packet processing
and does not affect the encryption in any way. The regeneration of a new, clean QAM signal is also useful for digital ‘cherry-picking’ from an
existing digital channel line-up, or ‘regenerating’ a channel for optimal Modulation Error Ratio (MER) performance.
Blonder Tongue BIDA Series
The Blonder Tongue BIDA 5400 Series are professional quality, broadband, two-way capable, indoor hybrid distribution amplifiers. These amplifiers are ideal for multi-channel RF distribution systems for which the input source is a “cable drop” or the output of a MATV/SMATV/CATV headend. The BIDA-5400 Series is available in either 550 or 750 MHz bandwidths with push-pull hybrid technology. For 2-way operation, optional field installable diplexers and return amplifers are are used to provide either an active or passive 5-30 MHz return. Passive return configurations require only the diplexers, whereas active return requires installation of both the diplexers and the amplifier.
Blonder Tongue CS-CMTS
The Blonder Tongue CMTS (Cable Modem Termination System) conceptually
converts Ethernet based digital data signals to RF signals and
vice versa, allowing two-way transmission of digital data over
coaxial cable or HFC (Hybrid Fiber Coax) networks. The
Blonder Tongue Communication Station CMTS unit is based on
the DOCSIS (Data-Over-Cable-Service-Interface-Specification)
standards. The Blonder Tongue CMTS features a scalable design architecture
that supports one DOCSIS or Euro-DOCSIS downstream channel
with 64 or 256 QAM modulation and up to eight (8)
upstream channels that can be factory or field installed
supporting QPSK or 16 QAM. The Blonder Tongue CMTS is a
single rack unit (1.75” high) can be installed in a cable headend facility
or a distribution hub site and can function with any DOCSIS/EuroDOCSIS
certified CPE (Customer Premise Equipment) device.
Blonder Tongue DAP Plus Series
The Blonder Tongue Digital to Analog Processor Plus (DAP Plus # 6295) is a complete single channel solution for delivering

Interface (ASI) output. The Blonder Tongue DAP Plus is a perfect transition unit for existing analog processors to ensure
uninterrupted delivery of off-air signals from new digital broadcast sources.
The cornerstone of the Broadcaster Firmware package is the ability to process Active Format Description
(AFD) that is inserted by some broadcasters. Broadcasters deploy AFDs to control the timing of Aspect Ratio
switches more accurately than using MPEG signaling alone.
Blonder Tongue FIBT/MIBT

digital signals on cable television frequency assignments without having to change the television tuner input from ‘CATV’ mode to ‘Off-Air’
